Tom founded Shafnisky Electric, Inc. in 1988 with a simple business philosophy: show up early, do what you say you’re going to do, and charge a fair price.

That mindset, combined with hard work and a genuine care for people, has turned what began as a one-man operation into a well-respected electrical contracting company serving residential, commercial, and industrial clients across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Tom holds Master Electrician licenses in Allentown, PA, New Jersey, and Delaware. He’s deeply committed to leading a business grounded in integrity, courtesy, and responsiveness. One of his guiding policies is that every customer deserves a reply – whether or not Shafnisky Electric can take the job.

If the team can’t help, they’ll still provide a recommendation to another qualified contractor, ensuring no one is left without a solution.

For the past 18 years, Tom has served as president of the Lehigh Valley’s local electrical contractors association – a collaborative group of about 13 area contractors and suppliers committed to raising standards in the industry.

He's also been substitute teaching for over 20 years at the very same local trade school he once attended, helping inspire and educate the next generation of electricians.

In 2024, Tom was asked and voted in to serve on the Hanover Township (Lehigh County) Building Code of Appeals Board, where he lends his experience and insight to uphold safety and quality standards in local construction.

In 2025, Tom’s exceptional professionalism as both a Master Electrician and business owner in the Lehigh Valley earned him the honor of being elected Member at Large for the Lehigh Valley Builders Association.

Thane began his career in the electrical trade in 2004, completing the Electrical Apprenticeship program through RACC in 2008. With 14 years of experience as a Corporate Director of Plant Operations in the healthcare sector, Thane has developed extensive expertise in industrial, commercial, and residential electrical construction and project management.

Certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt by Villanova University, he is a skilled problem solver who is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service on every project.

Outside of work, Thane is committed to maintaining a disciplined fitness routine and living a healthy lifestyle.

With over 15 years of experience in the electrical contracting industry, Mike joined Shafnisky Electric to help expand the Commercial & Industrial side of the business.

A graduate of Delaware Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a Minor in Adolescent Psychology, he also has a strong athletic background. While at Del Val, he was a 4-year starter and 2-year captain on the basketball team, earning MVP honors as a senior and receiving MAC League Honorable Mention.

Outside of work, Mike is passionate about watching all things Philadelphia sports, staying fit at his local fitness center, and going on long, adventurous hikes with his dogs.

Jenna has been a proud member of the Shafnisky Electric team for the past nine years. When she’s not at work, she loves relaxing at home with her two cats and diving into true crime shows. She also enjoys hanging out with and spoiling her niece whenever she gets the chance – usually by spending all her hard-earned money on her!

Don brings over 50 years of experience in the electrical industry, with a background that spans commercial, industrial, and residential work. He spent 27 years in the electrical department at Metro North Railroad before joining Shafnisky Electric, where he’s been a valued team member for the past 15 years.

Outside of work, Don loves spending time with his wife, their three amazing grandchildren, and their Irish Setters. He’s always up for an adventure—whether it’s out on the water, skiing, singing, or cruising on his motorcycle.

Abbey has been with Shafnisky Electric since September 2024. Before joining the team, she worked as a lifeguard and daycare teacher while attending school. Outside of work, she enjoys baton twirling—she competes with a team and helps coach a middle school group. It’s a passion she’s stuck with for years!

Joe has been in the electrical construction business since 1986. He got his start working with a major supply house, then spent 25 years with a large electrical contractor. For the past four years, he’s been the Warehouse Manager at Shafnisky Electric Inc., bringing tons of experience and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

With over a decade of hands-on experience in the electrical field, James is a highly motivated and results-driven professional. Known for his strong troubleshooting skills and a knack for clean, efficient installations, he takes pride in delivering top-notch service that keeps customers coming back.

Passionate about teamwork, customer satisfaction, and smart decision-making, James is excited to bring both skill and energy to the dynamic environment at Shafnisky Electric.

Andrew is a proud Pennsylvania native with over 7 years of electrical experience under his belt. He takes pride in delivering detailed, custom electrical work that helps bring customers’ projects to life. With a well-rounded background in residential, commercial, and industrial work, Andrew thrives when leading a team and making sure every project is completed efficiently and on time.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Andrew enjoying the outdoors with his wife and their dogs. From hiking to fishing to just about any outdoor sport. If it happens outside – Andrew’s probably tried it. He brings that same adventurous, full-of-life energy to everything he does.

Lyutvi Molaasanov is a graduate of NCC in Electrical Construction. Born and raised in Bulgaria, he moved to the United States in 2004 at the age of 10.

Outside of work, Lyutvi loves spending time with his wife and kids, cherishing every moment as they grow up. He enjoys gardening, being out in nature, and working on a few cars—hobbies that keep him busy and connected to what he loves.

Steve has been with Shafnisky Electric for nearly 5 years and brings a wealth of experience, having worked in all areas of electrical work since graduating from high school in 1985. He enjoys both residential and commercial projects, especially solving problems to help customers.

Outside of work, Steve loves spending time with his family, and when he gets the chance, he’ll pick up his old guitar or take his kids fishing.

Cole has been a valued member of Shafnisky Electric for the past three years. He holds an associate degree in Automotive and Business Management from the University of Northwestern Ohio, earned in 2015.

His passion for electrical work began in 2016 while working on personal home improvement projects. The challenges and satisfaction of the work led him to pursue it as a full-time career. Outside of work, Cole enjoys tinkering with cars and trucks and spending quality time with his two children and girlfriend.

Rich brings 20 years of experience to his role at Shafnisky Electric. He is dedicated to quality, safety, and doing the job right the first time. Rich takes pride in his ability to fix problems and deliver top-notch results for every project. His commitment to helping others ensures that customers consistently have a positive experience when working with the company.

Alessandro is a talented electrician with four years of hands-on experience working on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. He’s got a solid handle on safety and knows how to troubleshoot like a pro.

Alessandro’s all about getting the job done right and keeping things running smoothly. He stays current with the latest tools and tech, and always aims to deliver reliable, safe solutions you can count on.

A graduate of Notre Dame High School and King’s College, Mike brings a strong work ethic and a dedication to achieving his goals. With over 20 years of experience in construction and 5 years in the electrical field, he adds an extra spark to the already talented Shafnisky team. Always eager to help, he’s ready to brighten up anyone’s electrical needs.

Andi is a recent addition to the Lehigh Valley and to the world of electrical work. After moving from the Hudson Valley in NY, she made a career shift from Technical Theater to electrical work, drawn by the hands-on nature and the constant challenges that come with solving electrical puzzles.

After completing the Residential Electrician course at BAVTS, Andi joined Shafnisky Electric, where she’s been gaining hands-on experience across industrial, commercial, and residential settings.

In her free time, Andi loves diving into TTRPGs, board games, and video games. You might catch her on a local disc golf course or roller skating around the neighborhood, but more often than not, she’s at home tending to her garden with her wife or curling up with her two cats and a good book.

John has been with Shafnisky Electric for a couple of years, currently working in a subcontracted role with Flex Link. A proud graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology’s Electrical Construction and Maintenance program, John is passionate about developing technical skills and continuously expanding his knowledge in the field.

Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. John is excited to take on new challenges and continue growing within the Shafnisky organization.

Eric began his electrical career in 2018 at LCTI, where he completed the Residential Electrical Program. Even before graduating, he gained hands-on experience working for three years with an independent electrical contractor.

In 2021, he joined Shafnisky Electric, where he has continued to develop his skills and knowledge. Over the past three years, Eric has worked on a variety of large-scale commercial and light industrial projects and is passionate about continuing to grow his skills and take on new challenges within the industry.

Jayden has been with Shafnisky Electric for over two and a half years. His role has allowed him to grow professionally while achieving personal milestones, including the purchase of his first home. Jayden enjoys working on project cars, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his wife and son.
