Today is an exciting day at Shafnisky Electric Inc.!

Tom Shafnisky and Jessica Shafnisky electrical contractor Shafnisky Electric Inc.

Why is that?

Today is exciting because it is the day that I am taking control of the Shafnisky Electric Inc. Blog!

I bet that some of you may not have even known that Shafnisky Electric Inc. had a blog.

Well, we do. But it has had a rough start! Hopefully, that will all change now that I am taking charge.

Before I go on, let me introduce myself.

Who Am I?

My name is Jess Shafnisky and I am Tom’s wife. Tom and I have been married for almost 18 years (it will be 18 years in August). When we first met, I was starting my career as an elementary school teacher. I taught school for seven years before we made the decision that I would stay home with our 2 (at that time) daughters. A few short months later, we welcomed baby girl #3. After a few years of staying home with our girls, Tommy needed some extra help at the office, and I was looking to start doing some work outside of the house and girls again. It seemed like the perfect fit! I staTom and Jess Shafnisky with their daughtersrted by going in to the office a couple of days a week for a few hours. The best part was that I was also able to work from home as well, when I had time. A quick four years later, and baby girl #4 came along. I was a full-time mom of 4 daughters, all ages 6 and under. I continued to work part time for our company and my roll has continued to grow and evolve over time. Our girls are much older now, and Tommy and I have worked very hard to continue growing the business. For the past 2 years, we have been working on developing a new web site and adding a blog to that site. The web site launched and so did the blog. However, there are very few blog posts so far. That is because we felt that the blog needed to be authentic and real but finding the time for Tom to sit down and write a post was extremely difficult. That brings us to today.

What is Happening Today?

Today, I am taking over the blog and I am going to write things from my point of view – not the point of view of an electrician. I have very little experience in the electrical field (I can be a very good helper, but that is about it!) but I can write from my own experiences about things that I have seen, used, learned about or am interested in learning about. If there is ever anything that you are interested in or would like to learn about too – please reach out to me and I will do my best to find out whatever I can and share it with all of you!

I hope that you will follow me on this journey of information and learning about all things electrical – from a non-electrician’s point of view.

Until next time…

Jess
