Four Signs You’ve Found A Reliable Smart
Home Wiring Company in Allentown, PA

What Every Local Electrical Contractor
Should Offer Every Customer

So, you’ve recently decided to install smart home wiring in your Allentown residence and join the next era of the modern age. There’s just one problem. You have absolutely no clue who to hire to make it happen.

Naturally, finding a reliable electrical company well-versed in smart home solutions to work on your home is important. But how can you determine which company is right for you?

The best way to ensure you get exactly what you’re looking for at an affordable price is to do your research.

Well, the search can become pretty easy if you know what to look for. All you have to do is keep your eyes open for four important qualities.

1. Industry Certifications = Expertise

While any electrician can say they’re able to integrate smart technology solutions into the existing setup of your home – that doesn’t necessarily make it so.

So, if you want your smart home system to be installed properly and run efficiently, you’ll need a seasoned electrician. One who’s experienced in installing smart home technology and knows how to work with certain products.

So, how do you tell the difference?

That’s easy. An experienced and well-established smart home installer will have manufacturer and industry-certified accreditations that back up their expertise.

As you look around, it’s also wise to keep your eyes open for companies that are certified installers for major home automation manufacturers, such as:

• Lutron
• Google
• Savant
• Paxton
• McIntosh

These manufacturers are at the top of the Smart Home industry and offer training and advice for all certified installers of their systems. And with those certifications come access to better, longer warranties.

Why?

Because they trust the people they’ve trained to do things the right way.

We’re Certified

That’s one of the reasons many residents choose Shafnisky Electric over other electrical services for their smart home needs.

2. Custom Solutions Are Key To A Smart Home
System That Matches Your Needs

Every home is built differently – and you’ve spent years customizing yours to suit your lifestyle. So, it’s always best to hire a company that can provide a custom home solution tailored to that foundation.

They should consider your property’s size, electrical demands, and overall performance expectations in their proposal for your new system.

And that’s the type of service you can expect from Shafnisky Electric. Our installers have dealt with properties of various ages and styles throughout the years. So, they have the expertise to incorporate the latest and greatest smart home tech into your residence, even if your home was built in the 1980s.

3. A Good Smart Home Provider Is Nothing
Without Ongoing Technical Support

Integrating smart home technology in your residence makes your life easier – if you know how to use it. Sometimes, you may need help setting up voice commands on your interface. Other times, it may be something bigger, like a delay when you press a button to open your blinds.

That’s why an excellent smart home professional won’t just install your automated setup, give you a bill, and walk away.

At Shafnisky Electric, we never just install your smart home system and leave you to figure it out on your own.

Our smart home systems are designed to be user-friendly, making it easy for the average person to adjust their setup once they become familiar with the software. But we’re always happy to walk you through your system before we complete our visit.

We also offer ongoing technical support, allowing you to provide us with remote access so we can monitor and manage your smart home system. We can also use this to troubleshoot any issues that may arise which can save you the hassle of another home visit.

4. Customer Satisfaction And A Proven History Of
Great Work Guarantees A Great Experience

While there are several electricians in the area to choose from, finding one with a proven track record in smart home installation can take some time. But it’s worth the effort, as all electricians look the same on the surface.

And when you search, be sure to keep these three things in mind:

• Look at examples of their work
• Deep dive into their customer reviews
• Make sure they’ve been in business for at least 10 years

At Shafnisky Electric, we have a long history of being one of the best companies for electrical solutions in the Allentown area.
